G.I. Bill

Are you a veteran?  Do you want to go to school or start a new business?  The G.I. Bill, known more formally as the Servicemen’s Readjustment Act, was passed in 1944, and provides funding for college or trade school for veterans, along with a single year’s unemployment benefits.

A lot of people think the G.I. Bill is only for education, but it also provides additional loans for veterans who want to purchase homes or start up businesses.  Originally the G.I. Bill was created to serve WWII veterans, but since then it has provided benefits to veterans of other wars and even peacetime service.
